Kumiko for BERN
A redux version of [link] from 2008. See the difference.
Kumiko, my tactician for Fire Emblem, as she appears in my fanfic, 'Bern', which takes place roughly after 15 years in FE7. She is married to Zephiel in that fic, and is thus Queen of Bern, but that is not something she does because of love at all, and is instead brought about by certain consequences and responsibilities that Kumiko feels she had to do. But when King Zephiel decides to start war, Kumiko, and expert tactician, decides to make a stand against Zephiel--even if they had too meet on opposite sides in the battlefield. Anyway, artwise: Everyone has an idea of how I draw Kumi in her tactician form during FE7 [link] -and this was just about aging her, but I admit I got carried away and it might look different from her. The eyes look different. I might draw Anko or Xarin or any of my OCs or returning FE7 characters in 'Bern' (aged Matthew or Erk... wow, who would like to see that?)
Done with watercolors and acrylics (can anyone even tell the difference when you see them together in this? I just did it because some of my watercolors are running out, so I used acrylics in some parts) and lined with colored pens. I got too lazy to detail the dress. The purple ribbons, as mentioned in my FE7 fic 'The Journey' are from Zephiel. I realize the hairstyle looks a bit like Louise's. Kumiko tends to braid her hair but it's boring to draw if it's braided from the back of her head, so it's a little sideswept. I got carried away using Screen in PS, so the shadowing in the hand that would make it look like more a hand sort of vanished.
