Description

Not sure about the category, I wish one day there's just a huge TRADITIONAL WATERCOLOR in huge letters.

The Darkprince's Sylph

Sylph means a very slender young woman, an air sprite, or an imaginary being. In my medieval-ish watercolor set, I sort of tried to roll the three meanings into one and ended up with "consort".

Trying to represent the three into one work, I ended up with this woman, who I like very much. I think she's mysterious, and that she fits well into the sylph role, and complements the Darkprince, whose character I've already made up in my head.

I'm not sure who I thrust into this role (as the medieval-ish watercolor set is supposed to be inspired by already-made characters) but I think it's Lleine for a Fire Emblem fic I made. While this does not exactly look like her, the reason is it's all artistic representation and the character was just a reference or inspiration.

Colors may vary to your screens, but as I see it, I love the sandy brown coloring-ambiance thing (I overlayed the entire thing with warm brown) it has, since it makes it fit into the medieval-ish theme. The Sylph and the Darkprince, by the way, are medieval-inspired but not medieval-English, but medieval-middle east or something. I dunno what to call it, but I think the colors add up to the effect. Object if you think otherwise.

Comments welcome, and the texture in the background is from a personal archive.

Others in the Medieval-ish watercolor Set (in-progress)
The Autumn Queen (nyahaha too tired to put in link)
The Master of Spies

Works-in-Progress:
The Darkprince (Fire-Emblem chara inspired, guess who)
The Autumn King (Fire Emblem chara, a bit obvious who it is)
The Court Sage (Female, Fire Emblem. Guess who. xD)
The Lightprince (Fire Emblem chara again, go ahead and guess who)

Any suggestions for themes are welcome

Yes, I thought that you'd put an overlay layer on this and I was trying to look for the word to describe the effect I thought it gave and now that I've read your artist's comments - you're right, the effect is Medieval. :D To me, this looks like a stained glass window; not one of the new renovated ones you get in some churches, but one of the genuinely old ones, with more opaque glass. Very nice atmosphere.
